Kingswood TAFE

The Client 

TAFE NSW is Australia’s leading provider for vocational education and training, offering over 1,200 courses.

The Challenge

The Kingswood TAFE is a very large campus which has many classrooms, halls, pathways and car parks that require constant sweeping.

The Kingswood TAFE is littered with extensive tree coverage and expansive car parking areas, creating ongoing challenges with leaf litter, debris, and dust accumulation.

Maintaining these areas is critical to ensure a safe, clean and professional environment for students, staff and visitors.

To address these requirements, the TAFE asked ASC’s Greg Pedelty from Australian Sweeper to recommend a suitable mechanical sweeping solution.

Following a site assessment, Greg recommended the ASC G5 high dump sweeper as the best solution.

This was recommended due to its quiet operation, compact design and ease of use, making it ideal for an active education environment.

The Campus made some KPI’s that they wanted to achieve with a new sweeper.

They included the following:

• Improved campus presentation, supporting a positive learning environment
• Reduced slip and trip hazards by removing leaves, dirt and debris
• Quiet operation, allowing cleaning during operational hours without disrupting classes
• Efficient debris collection, reducing manual labour and cleaning time
• Lower operating and maintenance costs compared to larger sweepers
• Protection of building assets, by reducing dust and debris tracked into facilities
• Improved air quality around entrances by minimising dust movement

The Result

Kingswood Tafe purchased a new ASC G5 for the site.
